Critter Talks: Bringing Wildlife Education to Pennsylvania

Critter Talks is Woods and Forests Media’s hands-on, science-driven outreach program that connects students, families, and communities with the fascinating world of amphibians, reptiles, invertebrates, and native ecosystems. Blending engaging storytelling with live demonstrations, Critter Talks bring nature to life through real Pennsylvania fieldwork and the animals featured in Wild Vivariums and Frog Week.
What Are Critter Talks?

Hands-on demonstrations showcasing adaptations, behavior, and ecological roles
-
Conservation insights rooted in Frog Week’s citizen science and statewide amphibian monitoring
-
Native plant and habitat education, including carnivorous plants and pollinator tools
-
Real rescue stories from our work with injured and rehabilitated frogs and toads
-
Vivariums and husbandry lessons, teaching responsible and ethical pet care

A Statewide Mission of Education and Stewardship

From classrooms to community events, Critter Talks embody Woods and Forests Media’s mission to educate, inspire, and empower people to care for the natural world. Each presentation is a step toward creating a more informed and connected Pennsylvania—one that understands and celebrates the wildlife living just beyond the forest’s edge.
